Yes, I would say it did popularize them. More people than you think made it to room 13, and we once opened up the map so that anyone could try any level. After we did that, those sort of puzzles began popping up in many other maps, so it's not a stretch at all to say room 13 started the trend. I was careful not to say room 13 invented the challenge type since I don't know that for sure, but it more than likely started a fad that has since died down a bit.
